THE CONNECTED COMMUNITIES FORUM will kick-off Tucson’s inaugural 10 West Festival at the University of Arizona and bring together Southern Arizona education, business, and government leaders to discuss urban, economic, social, and digital infrastructure challenges in our region and explore solutions to overcome them through technology, innovation and public private partnership models. Goals: Understand the region’s current economic development opportunities and challenges, and well as innovation assets that can be further leveraged to create a more vibrant and connected community. Learn how other regions and cities are using the practical application of technology and the internet to help make communities smarter and more connected. Gain a better understanding of how the Internet of Everything— people, process, data, and things — play specific roles, and work together, to enable our future cities and communities. Establish opportunities to partner and collaborate among business, education and government entities to implement solutions discussed at the event. The event will be a series of presentations and facilitated discussions that will be led by subject matter experts and event organizers. The Conference will be a great opportunity to see what others are both thinking and doing in our own region and across the country.
